<Poem>
<End Poem>
<Translation>
Don't sigh that our years approach their close;
Love instead our years that lie ahead.
Three times in my official service
I've encountered the Year End Festival at Loyang.
Five times I've welcomed the spring.
Then tree-blossoms are grains of pearls,
Pond waters the color of yellow dust.
Spring dolls for children are delicate and weak,
Spring horses spirited and strong.
We assemble, reins and whips in line;
We go leisurely forward to receive plates of food,
Slowly pass around the wine,
Walking through old neighborhoods,
Searching for our good friends.
Laughing talk to pass the idle time,
Tipsy songs best set off the old man.
I truly believe I've experienced as much
Of joy and pleasure as other men.
